You maybe don’t know Gerardo Rosales, but mostly he’s allways the percussionist at every Cuban live band on a party, but this time we have him at Salsa Panorama. Gerardo Rosales;
Between Christmas and New Year, the nine-member La Vintage Orchestra will provide an energetic evening of unadulterated old-style salsa. Bandleader is Venezuelan-born percussionist Gerardo Rosales, who has played with such famous Latin jazz artists as Paquito D’Rivera, Bebo Valdés and Oscar D’Leon. His orchestra’s sound is based on legendary records from the 1960s and 1970s. Gerardo Rosales has lived in the Netherlands for thirty years and has played with the cream of Dutch Latin and jazz, including Lilian Vieira, Maite Hontelé, Denise Jannah, Izaline Calister, Metropole Orchestra, Lucas van Merwijk & Cubop City Big Band, The Rosenberg Trio, Benjamin Herman and New Cool Collective. He has already made more than twenty albums under his own name, including this year’s La Vintage, which can be experienced live for the first time on this evening.
